SIP, refers to Session Initiation Protocol. Session Initiation Protocol or SIP refers specifically to a language that various computers can communicate to one another in so that they can complete voice calls. SIP is an IETF open standard scalable and extensible protocol for carrying voice, video and multimedia communications over the IP Network. What I mean by that is, I have come to. SIP acts as a signalling protocol. In that time, I have come to realize the inevitability of SIP in business and consumer communications. SIP – A protocol that allows voice, data, fax, video, instant messaging and even online gaming to be integrated with web-based applications. I have been speaking about Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for over two years. The Session Initiation Protocol simply provides interoperability between the various components of the telecommunications equipments as it is an open standard (vendor neutral) protocol. The objective with this study is to describe security mechanisms that are integrated or are proposed to be integrated with the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). At its core IMS uses the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for session management, though many compulsory SIP extensions are required to ensure security and reliability. A key component of this is the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). No integration issues: On-premise systems often rely on integration between legacy and new VoIP equipment, which can produce session initiation protocol (SIP)-compatibility issues and service disruptions.
